Welcome To RE:Cal Mag. We are glad that you made it here. We are even more pleased that you have stopped for a moment to read some of the words and find out more about us. 

RECAL stands for RE: Cal as in Regarding California, it’s not all that fancy but short and sweet and maybe weird enough to make you ask what it means. We have just launched our little mission to bring some interesting words and photos, insight and colour regarding one of the greatest places on planet earth…California.

We plan to focus on California people, places, things, happenings and whatever else we find that we feel is influenced by, or embodies California coastal lifestyle and culture past and present. With a heavy focus on the surf culture of course.

We talk about films and music, people and places, food and fun.

We like making a difference so we’ll take a look at those groups, individuals and events that are doing what they can to make a difference be it in California or around the world.

We may even go around the world to discover little bits of California. Be it people or places that hold a space in their heart or embody the vibe that so many of us are enraptured by.

People the world over are drawn to it…California. We’ll talk to some Californian’s who get to travel the world to exotic paradise’s some of us can only experience in magazines and film’s. We’ll find out why still they find themselves back in their favorite spots, right here in California.
