“Lost Prophets” a new film by Nathan Apffel had a sneak preview the other night in Laguna. The event was to get people pumped on the film and treat friends, family and potential investors to a taste of what the film will be when released. Hans Hagen and family were there. Hans has been instrumental in bringing people and support together to get the film moving forward. Heavies from Surfer, Quik, Billabong, Koastal Media and other VIP’s were in the house to enjoy the complimentary tasty foods created by Chef Craig Connelly and beverages by Zico Coconut Water, XS Energy and Kona Beer. Surfers, photographers, film makers, artists and industry stepped out including for the event including Hans Hagen and family, Jon Rose, Tom Servais, Jeff Booth, Robert Gerard, Mark Jeremias, the Thalia Street crew and other industry. After the short teaser of the film we heard speeches from Hans and Nathan. Then Laguna Star celeb and artist, DJ Steven Chew got the party moving.

Stars in the film include Dave Rastovich, Hans Hagen, Chris Del Moro and a host of other creative surfers as we get an inside view into their life as they reflect upon it.
Look for this film first at festivals and then hopefully a theatre tour of the U.S. rumor is that it could be showing at the California Surf Festival. Stay tuned to RE:Cal for more news on this film.
